designing your version of homeWe delight in the detail - designing and building homes that feel good to live in for years to come.
Hey thereWe’re Tim & Sarah Yarrow
Partners in life and work (lucky us!) we bring 30+ years of collective experience across residential and commercial build and design.
At the end of the day we're just people, a family, who spend each day with hands on tools to make the feeling of 'home' for other families. Getting to know is core to our professional practice and honestly, fills up our cup. This is how we can craft such personalised homes, we build a connection with you to truly understand how you want it to feel, a beautiful representation of your family.
TimI'm a pretty calculated task based kinda guy who loves to follow a process. I'm a ‘doer’, you’ll never find me sitting on the lounge on a weekend, I'll probably be fixing or making something (usually ticking off Sarah’s endless list of requests!) With little time for reading books these days, I'm an avid podcast listener, loving everything from building science, to property investment to the F1 wrap up. Aside from Sarah and our son, Henry, my next great love is sport - cricket, F1, NRL - strike up a conversation over any of those and you might never hear the end!
A gin and tonic on the back deck at sunset watching Henry ride his bike around is, collectively, one of our favourite ends to day, a small moment to stop, take stock and soak in the contentment of life.
SarahI'm a big picture, blue skies kinda person, my energetic spirit is the perfect balance to Tim’s calm balance. An avid list maker, I would struggle to make it through daily life without a list, it helps order the chaos of the creative’s mind. A homebody and introverted extrovert by nature, my happy place is pottering around home, my way to re-energise from the world. Being raised in the Blue Mountains, my desire for connection to nature runs deep. Also an avid podcast listener, my go-tos are The Mel Robbins Podcast, The Ultimate Human and The Imperfects.
Coming to motherhood later in life, I have been finding my rhythm in my new role as ‘mum’ alongside work which is fulfilling and nourishing. It’s messy and beautifully imperfect, just the way I like.
pouring our hearts into each homeClients choose us because
- We do what we promise.
- One team, end-to-end. No middle men.
- Lead honest conversations and clear decisions.
- Expert guidance, every step. This isn’t our first rodeo.
- You’re our focus. We only take on 2-3 projects per year.
-

longevity
We design functional spaces and curate timeless furnishings for homes to be ‘lived in’ and loved for generations.
-

carbon conscious
We’re conscious about our carbon footprint in each project we undertake. We give our clients options in design and build for low-carbon, locally made and independently certified.
-

ethical suppliers
Where possible, we source from ethically aligned suppliers producing quality Australian goods that are built to last for generations to come.
-

local first
We focus our projects locally, supporting nearby trades and the community we live in, ensuring our work strengthens families and the place we call home.
-

Socially Conscious
We actively donate to ReLove, who support women and children to move into a safe, furnished home where they can make a fresh start. Healing begins when a house becomes a home.
-

healthy home first
Design and building healthy homes to us means focusing on materials, finishes and furnishings that don’t negatively impact on the health of the occupants.
a note from sarahBuy well, buy once. Buy what you really love, the first time. Then treasure it.
I was taught to buy the absolute best in quality I could afford with everything in life. I’ve carried that through into my own home and my work. I now always encourage this philosophy with my clients of having fewer “things” but more of what you love and will treasure. Less of what is disposable and undervalued.
I believe a home must always be a reflection of those who live there. Forego the latest trend, what’s in magazines or what the neighbours up the road have done. What is your version of a beautiful home? Because it’s different for everyone.
Supporting Australian design and manufacturing is hugely important to our business. Buying local & fair trade globally, goes a long way to long term sustainability, and that’s a win for all.
